Project 81 is a non-profit organization that was created by three ordinary individuals to illustrate the ability, and responsibility, that every person has to change the world for the better. The vision was cast after a trip to Haiti in late 2007. The poverty witnessed was unmatched by anything seen by the founders before that time. A decision was made shortly following that in order for these countries to see a change, a change must first occur within ourselves. There is always a choice, and the choice at that time was to either forget what we saw, or take action. Every person has this choice. We see hurt and pain on our own street corners, in our schools, and in our neighborhoods. Because of this, Project 81 is not simply about a country, or third-world countries only, but rather about choosing to fight injustice wherever it may exist. We are all the Project. Project 81 Inc.
